Makes two 7″ wide 3/4″ thick pancake
Ingredients:
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup corn starch
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
3/4 cup dashi (see notes)
1/4 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp sesame oil
2 eggs
2 – 4 tbs nagaimo (Japanese Yam), grated (see notes)
1 pack bacon
4 cups thinly shredded white cabbage
2 green onions, finely sliced
2 small carrots, cut into thin matchsticks
Sauce:
Japanese mayonnaise (See notes)
Okonomiyaki sauce:
1 1/2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 tbs ketchup
1 tbs oyster sauce
1 tbs honey
1 tbs brown sugar
1/2 tsp soy sauce
Garnish:
Bonito flakes
Green onion
White sesame seeds
Dried seaweed flakes (optional)
Pickled ginger (optional)
