makes 2 lunch boxes
1 Cup of short grain rice
8 oz water
Pinch or two of salt
Combine the rice and water in a pot with a tight-fitting lid you might add pinch or two of salt. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low/simmer and cook for 7 minutes under the lid.
Turn off the heat, take off the burner and allow rice to steam in the pot for 10 minutes.
Remove the lid and fluff the rice with the fork.
Other ingredient OPTIONS:
baked potato fries
Cooked ham, or any meat such as chicken, beef strips, pork est…
Rolled Egg omelet, plain or with seaweed
Strawberries, apple, blueberry etc.
Soy sauce for the rice or use any sauce that you desire, just pack in the little container.
