If you know anything about Grumpy Cat and Boo, then the next time you are planning a party, here is a great idea for some delicious favors. The concept was recently featured on Bakerella, a baking and decorating blog run by Angie Dudley and filled with all kinds of creative sweet treats. When Dudley discovered that Chronicle Books, publisher of her own cake pops book, was also the company behind books about internet stars Grumpy Cat and Boo, she was thrilled. With that exciting connection in mind, she decided to surprise her friends at Chronicle with these nifty little creations.
To create each pop, the talented baker used crumbled cake and frosting mixed together and rolled into balls. She chilled them, and then dipped them in chocolate, vanilla, and yellow bits, melted together to achieve the perfect color for the adorably grumpy feline and the ridiculously cute dog. She molded, shaped, and decorated each pop and added fantastic details which—although she provides extensive step-by-step instructions—definitely do not look easy to do!
