Marinara Soup

A comforting bowl of Marinara Soup comes together in about 20 minutes for a delicious, simple, and healthy vegetarian dinner!

Yield 8 cups

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons olive oil
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
4 cups chicken broth or vegetable broth
1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
½ cup uncooked small pasta (I used mini wagon wheels, but something like elbow macaroni would also work well)
½ teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Crushed red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
